Niemann Harvest Market is seeking a Cheese Specialist to provide exceptional customer service, deepen product knowledge, rotate stock, and maintain a clean, safe department. You will engage guests, offer tastings, and act as the cheese expert for pairings and applications.

Responsibilities include ensuring product quality, following health code guidelines, and supporting merchandising and inventory tasks. This role requires strong communication, energy, and a passion for cheese and local foods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers superior guest service and ensure absolute customer satisfaction.
• The “Expert” in cheese, cheese pairings and cheese accoutrements.
• Understands the shopper’s cheese application and help them determine the best option for their needs.
• Knows use, and taste of products offered.
• Quality assurance checks of department.
• Proper handling and rotation of product.
• Day to day operational procedures to ensure stock level, inventory, and cleanliness.
• Promote sales, provide samples.
• Follow all Health Code guidelines.
• Follows all store and department policies and procedures.
• Follows safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model.
