Job summary

Hamilton Southeastern High School is seeking an Athletic Coach to organize, supervise, and instruct student-athletes in the assigned sport, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, skill development, and character. The coach helps provide a safe, positive athletic experience aligned with district goals.

Reports to the Athletic Director, Principal or Assistant Principal and collaborates with school staff to plan practices, games, and travel while maintaining program records and equipment in good order.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct practices, training sessions, and competitions.
• Teach sport-specific skills, rules, and strategies.
• Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and responsible behavior among student-athletes.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and related activities.

• Monitor student-athlete academic eligibility and encourage academic success.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, school staff, and administration.
