Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston is seeking a Checker to ensure excellent customer service and efficient checkout operations. You will handle sales, operate the cash register, and protect store assets in a fast-paced grocery environment.

The role requires bilingual communication (Spanish/English), basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds when needed. Training and opportunities for advancement available.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and colleagues.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed but uncomplicated instructions.
• Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, frequently 25–45 pounds, occasionally 45–60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, the Checker maintains outstanding customer service per company standards.
• Process sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently; perform cash register operations and safeguard company assets.
• Bend, stand, and stoop for prolonged periods as part of the job.
