Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston is seeking a Checker for Store 031 Houston-Edgebrook (ages 16-17). Under direct supervision, you’ll help customers, scan items, and process sales quickly and accurately in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Candidates should be able to read and write in Spanish and English, lift light to moderate loads, and provide friendly, helpful service. Training is provided. Benefits include a retirement plan and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English and interact with the public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short notes.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
• Follow written or oral instructions with common‑sense reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, perform cashiering, customer service and sales transactions.
