Job summary

Tyson Foods in Edwardsville is seeking an overnight Checker Opr on the B-shift. You will remove pallets from trailers with a forklift, break down and stack cases, and verify product, date and quantity. Be prepared to lift 90 pounds or more, stand, walk, bend, and work in a -10°F to 32°F cooler environment.

Shifts are 12 hours per day, 3 1/2 days a week. Tyson offers competitive pay, PPE provided, and opportunities for growth as the team expands.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year forklift and warehouse experience with a single employer in the last 5 years.
• Cold storage experience preferred.
• Must be willing to frequently lift up to 90 lbs and up to 110 lbs if needed.
• Must stand, walk, bend, stretch and climb.
• Must cross-train and be moved to other areas as needed.
• Must stand 12 hours per day on hard floors in a cold environment (-10° to 30°F).

SUMMARY:

In this position pallets are removed from trailers using a forklift. Job tasks include break down and stack cases while receiving, verify correct product, date, and quantity. Must be willing to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry 90 pounds or more. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, and reaching are involved in this job. This is a cooler/freezer warehouse the temperatures range from -10 degrees F. to 32 degrees; PPE will be provided. Shifts consist of 12 hours a day, 3 1/2 days a week. As Team Member grow with the company growth opportunities are assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience through a single employer in the last 5 years.
• Cold storage experience preferred
• Must be willing to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 90lbs cases and occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 110lbs cases.
• Must be willing to frequently stand, walk, bend, stretch, and climb.
• Must be willing to cross train and be moved to other areas as needed.
• Must be willing and able to stand for 12 hours per day on hard floors in a cold environment with temperature range from -10° to 30°F.

• $25.45/hr
