Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator for 1st shift. You will move totes, pallets and supplies between trailers, production lines and freezer areas, while ensuring safe ramp operations and effective communication with supervisors. Must be able to lift up to 95 lbs and operate a forklift for long shifts in a loud, industrial environment.

Starting pay is $18.25 per hour. Benefits start Day 1 and include medical, dental, vision, 401k and more.

• Must have 6 months of continuous work history within the past 2 years.
• Minimum of 6 months forklift operating experience in manufacturing/production or warehouse.
• Willingness to take and pass forklift operator certification.

This position will be exposed to a work environment with temperatures ranging from -10 to 80 degrees, wet and/or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas, concrete floors and noise levels that are loud enough to require hearing protection. Must be willing to lift, push, pull up to 95 lbs and be willing to work sitting on a forklift for 8 to 12 hours.

This position will be exposed to a work environment that is tied to what the weather outside is (rain, heat, cold, insects). Must be willing to lift, push, pull up to 95 lbs and be willing to work sitting on a forklift for 8 to 12 hours.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
