Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Louisiana seeks a full-time Shipping Associate to pull orders, count, load and unload product according to the shipping schedule. The role requires physical ability to move items and to comply with safety and quality standards in a food production environment.

You will record receipts, maintain area cleanliness, and support on-time distribution while adhering to company policies and attendance rules. The position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Six (6) or more months shipping or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that product received from production or other plants is recorded correctly.
• Load and unloads to appropriate distribution area to ensure that shipping schedules are met.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area.
• Practice and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc.
• Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
• Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
• Physically capable of movement to all Shipping areas.
• Ability to exert force necessary to move wheeled equipment weighing (400 lbs), at a distance of (100) feet.
• Ability to routinely stoop, bend, and lift product containers weighing ( 20 lbs).
• Ability to wear and use approved, applicable safety equipment, as needed.
• Must meet/maintain FDC and CDC food handling requirements on public safety for work in a food production environment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

Bringing Home the Dough

Pulls orders, counts, loads, and unloads product on incoming and outgoing trailers according to the shipping schedule. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Salary Range- $20.19
