Job summary

El Super #45 in Oceanside, CA is seeking a Checker to join our store operations team. Starting pay is $17.75 per hour. Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, you will provide fast, friendly service, process sales, and safeguard store assets to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Candidates should be able to read labels and pricing codes, write simple notes, and lift up to 60 pounds as needed. On-site training will be provided and prior retail experience is a plus.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, performing cash register operations and safeguarding company assets. Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of times.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
