Job summary

Kia in West Point, GA is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer focused on reviewing quality indicators for parts from suppliers and ensuring compliant, high-quality components for production. You will conduct supplier process audits, ISIR reviews and participate in part teardowns and daily quality checks.

The role requires a mechanical/industrial engineering background with 2–5 years in supplier quality within manufacturing, plus strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, electronic or mechatronic engineering with 2–5 years in supplier quality in manufacturing.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Analytical problem solving and decision making.
• Understanding of automotive industry standards.
• Ability to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and ensure the quality of supplied parts through partnerships with within the company and with suppliers.
• Production support: resolve production issues, review Non-Conforming Product (NCP), retro-fits, yard campaigns and material checks.
• Monitor and investigate internal and external quality indicators; drive continuous improvement with root-cause analysis.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support company goals.
• Strive for continuous improvements and customer satisfaction in all facets of the business.
• Prepare detailed plans, reports and schedules for the Quality Department.
• Enforce policies and standards.
