General Summary:
Responsible for reviewing current internal and external quality indicators and ensuring the quality of parts provided by suppliers.
- Plan and ensure the quality of supplied parts through collaborative partnerships within the company and with suppliers, including: Supplier Process Audits, Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) review and approvals, Good Part Teardowns, Daily Quality Management part checks, etc.
- Production Support - Ensure the resolution of production-related issues between areas, support daily review of Non-Conforming Product (NCP), retro-fits, yard campaigns, and material checks as needed.
- Monitor and investigate concerns related to Internal (FTTQ, On-Line Repairs, VPC Issues, Customer Audit, etc.) and External (Dealer Claim, 3MIS, JD Power IQS, etc.) quality indicators and drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and implementation of short-term and long-term countermeasures.
- Work within cross-functional teams, assist where needed for the benefit of the company.
- Strive continually for improvements and customer satisfaction in all facets of the business.
- Prepare detailed plans, reports, and schedules for the Quality Department.
- Implement and enforce all policies and standards.

Qualifications and Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Competencies):
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering or related field, with two to five years of experience in supplier quality engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong self-responsibility, planning, and organizational skills.
- Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Analytical problem-solving and effective decision-making skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks with various priorities within designated timeframes.
- Broad understanding of automotive industry standards.
- Ability to understand and meet diverse customer needs and global business requirements.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in decision-making and essential job duties.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience with SAP system preferred.
- Technical skills and knowledge of quality control systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- High level of knowledge and manufacturing experience with electrical commodity products such as Wire Harness, ADAS, TCU/ECU modules, Radars, Multi-Function Cameras, Temperature Control Modules, Batteries, PCBs, Capacitors, Resistors, Transistors, and integrated circuits.
- Preferred experience in vehicle electrical systems, including diagnosis, electrical diagrams and schematics, CAN communication, onboard diagnostics, and scanning tools.
- Knowledge of electrical assembly methods including SMT, reflow/wave/selective soldering, conformal coating, in-circuit testing, burn-in, and functional testing.
- Wire harness assembly methods including assembly boards, continuity testing, pin insertion, crimping, cutting, and hanking.
