Job summary

Groupe SEGULA Technologies SA in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking a Chassis Quality Engineer to support Stellantis vehicle programs. You will investigate and resolve complex quality concerns across brakes, steering, suspension, and related chassis systems in manufacturing, testing, and field environments.

Responsibilities include root-cause analysis using 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8D, cross-functional containment, documentation reviews (DFMEA/PFMEA, control plans), and driver for supplier quality

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive chassis quality engineering is preferred.
• Familiar with quality methodologies such as 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8D.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams for containment and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Investigate chassis-related quality issues in manufacturing, testing, and in-field environments.
• Lead root-cause problem solving using structured tools (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D).
• Coordinate containment and resolution with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers and stakeholders.
• Track quality concerns from identification through containment, validation and closure.
• Review drawings, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, control plans, and validation results.

Job description

We are seeking a Chassis Quality Engineer to support Stellantis vehicle programs. The engineer will investigate and resolve complex quality concerns involving brakes, steering, suspension, wheels, tires, and related chassis systems across manufacturing, testing, and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Issue Investigation: Investigate chassis-related quality issues identified in manufacturing assembly plants, warranty claims, testing facilities, and customer feedback.

• Root-Cause Analysis: Lead root-cause problem solving using 5-Why, Fishbone, 8D, and other structured quality tools.

• Cross-Functional Resolution: Coordinate containment and issue resolution with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and stakeholders.

• Lifecycle Tracking: Track quality concerns from initial identification through containment, validation, and final closure.

• Documentation Review: Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, control plans, and validation results.

• Launch & Build Support: Support prototype vehicle builds, launch events, plant inspections, and formal quality reviews.

• Data Analytics: Analyze warranty data and quality metrics to identify trends, pareto priorities, and systemic improvement opportunities.

• Supplier Quality Management: Partner with Tier-1 suppliers to address component quality concerns and verify corrective action implementation.

• Executive Presentations: Prepare and present quality status updates, risk assessments, containment plans, and permanent corrective actions to management.
