The Chassis Mechanic position at Chassis Support Services, LLC / CSS is based in a shop/depot environment, performing chassis repairs including brakes, wheel ends, welding, cutting with a torch, and part replacements per FMCSA standards. You will log work orders via a mobile app and drive to sites with a valid license when required.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years chassis experience, FMCSA brakes, MIG/ARC welding knowledge, and DOT rule familiarity.
The Chassis Mechanic will perform mechanical repairs and inspections in a depot/repair facility environment, repairs to be performed in a shop setting. The employee will perform all types of chassis repairs including brakes and wheel end repairs, welding, cutting with a torch and repairing and replacing parts on the chassis using standard repair tools. Repairs will be performed to FMCSA standards and completed based on written estimates.
