Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group, LLC is seeking a caring and dedicated Certified School Nurse (CSN) to join our full-time school-based team in Trenton, NJ. The CSN will provide direct nursing services, support student health, and collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare providers to promote a safe, healthy learning environment.

Responsibilities include administering medications, managing health plans, conducting screenings, and supporting IEP/Section 504 teams.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Jersey.
• New Jersey CSN certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Previous school-based, pediatric, public health, or community health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of student health services, medication administration, and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing services to students and respond to medical needs during the school day.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, district policies, and state regulations.
• Manage and monitor student health plans, including those related to chronic medical conditions.
• Conduct health screenings, assessments, and follow-up activities as required.
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, teachers, and administrators regarding student health concerns.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
• Support IEP and Section 504 teams by providing health-related information and recommendations.
• Promote health education, wellness initiatives, and disease prevention practices within the school community.
• Ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for all students.
