Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking a Charter Driver to transport clients safely and on time between pickup and destination requests. You will operate a school bus, monitor conditions, and ensure passenger safety while adhering to regulations.

The role requires a valid driver’s license (with 3+ years), a clean driving record, and the ability to pass CORI/SORI background checks. CDL B with S&P endorsements or willingness to obtain them is preferred. Flexibility with last-minute changes is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license for at least 3 consecutive years.
• Satisfactory driving record with no suspensions or major incidents.
• Ability to pass a background check, CORI & SORI checks will be required.
• CDL B with S&P endorsements or willingness to obtain them.
• Willing to drive to a variety of locations as needed.
• Must be flexible with last-minute changes to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus to transport authorized passengers to and from field trips, sporting events, and more using provided directions.
• Assess traffic and road conditions and monitor passenger behavior and other factors as necessary.
• Follow all state and federal traffic laws while operating the vehicle.
• Maintain proper CDL and state school bus certifications, including state/federal guidelines on criminal, medical, drug tests and driving records.
• Assist passengers onto and off the vehicle when necessary.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks per company standards and state guidelines.
