Job summary

Salter Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Charter Driver to transport clients to and from pickup points in a timely, safe manner with strong customer service. The role requires a valid driver's license, 21+, 3+ years of driving, clean driving record, ability to pass background checks, and CDL B with S&P endorsements or willingness to obtain.

CDL training provided. This position offers a $27 per hour pay rate with flexible scheduling, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with 3+ years of driving experience.
• Satisfactory driving record with no suspensions.
• Able to pass a background check (CORI & SORI).
• CDL B with S&P endorsements or willingness to obtain.
• Must be flexible with last-minute changes.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus to transport passengers safely to and from field trips and events.
• Assess traffic and road conditions and monitor passenger behavior as needed.
• Follow all state and federal traffic laws while operating the vehicle.
• Maintain CDL and state certifications per guidelines and records.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections as required by company/state guidelines.
• Assist passengers onto and off the vehicle when necessary.
