Job summary

Beacon Mobility is hiring a Charter Driver in Gardner, MA. You will operate a school bus to transport students and authorized passengers safely and on schedule, using provided directions.

The role requires a valid CDL B with S&P endorsements, plus a clean driving record and ability to pass background checks. We offer paid CDL training and flexible scheduling, including afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years old.
• Satisfactory driving record with no suspensions.
• Ability to pass background checks (CORI & SORI) and obtain CDL B with S&P endorsements.
• Willingness to drive to diverse locations and adapt to last‑minute changes.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus to transport passengers to and from field trips, sporting events, and more safely and on time.
• Assess traffic and road conditions and monitor passenger behavior as needed.
• Follow all state and federal traffic laws while operating the vehicle.
• Maintain CDL and state school bus certifications, complying with related guidelines.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks per company standards.
• Assist passengers onto and off the vehicle when required.
