Job summary

Avalon Transportation is seeking a Motor Coach Bus Driver in Sacramento to operate a 46-passenger coach with a strong focus on safety and customer service. The role involves on-time passenger pickups, route adherence, and professional interactions with clients.

Requirements include a valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrakes endorsements, SPAB certification is a plus, and a minimum of 2 years charter bus experience.

Qualifications

• Commercial Driver's License Class A or B is required.
• Passenger endorsement is required.
• Airbrakes endorsement is required.
• SPAB or School Bus certificate is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years driving charter bus is required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and DOT requirements.
• Must use GPS and electronic hours of service tracking.
• Able to drive outside in all weather and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Pick up passengers at assigned locations without delay.
• Complete pre/post trip bus inspections for each shift.
• Follow traffic laws and regulations.
• Complete written reports as required.
• Follow assigned route and make designated stops.
• Assist passengers with luggage as needed.
• Ensure passenger safety at all times and with all road users.
• Maintain proper attire and professional conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
