Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation seeks a courteous Front of House team member to provide superior service to guests and colleagues. Under supervision, assist FOH and BOH with duties and ensure smooth dining flow.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking and delivering orders, ensuring proper table setup, serving food and beverages, complying with liquor regulations, reporting tips, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating with chefs and management to address guest needs.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication is required.
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant is preferred.
• On-the-job training or related work experience is typically required.

Responsibilities

• Assist FOH and BOH with general duties to ensure smooth dining operations.
• Run food orders from kitchen to tables, bars, and guests.
• Maintain clean, well-organized server expo and cold stations.
• Communicate effectively with management, chefs, and culinary staff to address guest needs.
• Adhere to all state and corporate liquor regulations.
• Collect and report tips accurately at shift end.
• Maintain sanitary, safe, and neat service areas and personal appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal employees and external customers.Under general supervision, assist FOH and BOH with their general duties to include everything below and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Guest interaction is a must. Explain product, ask questions and build positive relationships with the guests.
• Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, hours of operations, proper table set-up and dress code of the restaurant.
• Ensure dining and expo line areas are set up and maintained according to standard.
• Effectively communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfil and address any issues or needs requested by guests and other employees.
• Run food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate table, bar seat, guest, and to orders.
• Abide by all State, State Gaming, Federal and Corporate liquor Regulations. Also pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Collect and accurately report tips at the end of the assigned shift.
• Clears, cleans, stocks and sets up cold stations on the server expo line to restaurant standards.
• Discretely clear individual settings from guest tables as each course is completed.
• Provide additional settings, utensils and condiments as needed or requested.
• Use and maintain all assigned areas and equipment in a sanitary, safe and effective manner.
• Maintain a well-groomed, neat and clean appearance.
• Possess the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and possess the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
• Perform all job functions in conjunction with the guidelines describes in the Standard Operating Procedures manual to ensure consistent execution of company and department standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high volume restaurant.
• These skills and abilities are typically acquired through at least 2 months on-the-job training or experience directly related to the accountabilities specified.
