Qualifications

• Active North Carolina law license in good standing.
• At least 2 years of workers' compensation experience; defense experience preferred.
• Deposition and mediation experience preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and oral-advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a workers' compensation defense caseload with partner and staff support.
• Analyze claims, investigate facts, review medical records, and develop case strategy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, client reports, and settlement docs.
• Take depositions of parties, witnesses, medical providers, and experts.
• Represent employers, carriers, and administrators in mediations, hearings, and settlements.
