Job summary

McAngus Goudelock & Courie in Charleston, SC, is seeking attorneys to join our Workers' Compensation team. Remote/hybrid options will be considered after training with the team.

Ideal candidates will have 4-5 years of practice experience and be licensed to practice law in South Carolina. Our associates gain hands-on experience in all phases of civil litigation from inception to trial, with direct client contact.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina or pending SC bar results.
• 4-5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Hands-on experience from case inception to trial.
• Direct client contact with strong communication.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

We are seeking attorneys to join our Workers' Compensation team in Charleston. Remote/hybrid options will be considered after training/integration with the team.
Ideal candidates will have 4-5 years of practice experience. Our associates are given hands on experience in all phases of civil litigation from case inception to trial, as well as direct client contact.
