Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Charge Nurse for Women's Health Services. This is a part-time position (24 hours weekly) covering days 7am-7pm, with weekend-only work. Responsible for acting as a resource nurse for the department. This is an entry-level leadership nursing position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. The Charge Nurse will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care. The Charge Nurse will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow. The CN has immediate oversight of employees while performing the same or directly related work to those the position leads.
Women's Health Services is conveniently located on the same floor as the Labor and Delivery unit and is a 19‑bed unit utilizing a couplet care model following the AWHONN staffing guidelines. The unit also cares for female post‑operative patients who have recently undergone gynecological or bariatric procedures.
Work every weekend and receive PREMIUM pay for hours worked on weekend.
