The position requires an ASN or higher, Indiana RN license, and current BLS/NRP/ACLS/S.T.A.B.L.E/RNC-LRN certifications, with 1 year of RN experience and per-unit specialty credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program, minimum ASN.
• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• NRP certification required (within 6 months of hire).
• ACLS certification required (within 6 months of hire).
• S.T.A.B.L.E certification required (within 12 months of hire).
• Low Risk Neonatal Nursing RNC-LRN required (within 12 months of hire).
• One year of nursing experience required; experience in specialty preferred.
• Professional/Specialty certification as per unit standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as a resource nurse and coordinate care on designated shifts.

Job description

Seeking Charge Nurse! Baptist Health Floyd, Labor and Delivery Full-time (36 Hours Weekly), Nights (7pm-7am) Benefit Eligible $$ Sign On Bonus Eligible for Experienced External Applicants Only $$

Job Duties: Responsible for acting as a resource nurse for the department. This is an entry-level leadership position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care. This position will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow. This position has immediate oversight of employees while performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads.

About the Department: Labor and Delivery is made up of eight labor and delivery suites, two triage bays, two operating rooms and two recovery bays with wireless monitoring capabilities. Natural birthing options such as nitrous oxide, laboring tubs, and birthing balls available. On average, there are around 1,000 births annually.

A minimum of 1 year RN experience required.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN.
