Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club in Trophy Club, TX is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse for the Pre Admission Testing department. Under supervision of the Charge Nurse, you will document patient history, order pre-admission tests, and provide pre-operative instruction.

The PAT nurse communicates with surgeons and anesthesiologists, ensures patient safety and privacy, and coordinates care across the perioperative team.

Qualifications

• RN license for Texas valid and current.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 30 days of hire preferred.
• Minimum two years of RN experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Document patient history and current medications; perform pre-admission diagnostic testing as ordered.
• Provide pre-operative instruction and teaching to patients.
• Implement physician orders and communicate pertinent information to surgeon/anesthesiologist.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.
• Document patient education and follow-up as required.
