Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club in Trophy Club, TX is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse for Pre Admission Testing. The PAT nurse documents patient history, orders pre-admission testing, and provides pre-operative instruction.

The role requires RN licensure in Texas, BLS, ACLS training within 30 days, and a minimum of two years RN experience in clinical settings. Strong communication, teaching ability, and EHR proficiency are essential to ensure patient safety and care quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN License.
• BLS; ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum two years’ RN experience in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of perioperative care and patient safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care within RN scope per hospital policies.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care per physician orders.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations.
• Identifies educational needs and documents patient/family education.
• Communicates with surgeon/anesthesiologist about patient information.
• Adheres to documentation policies.
