Job summary

Armor Health is seeking a Night Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at Blair County Jail in Hollidaysburg, PA. This full-time position involves 12-hour night shifts providing comprehensive nursing care in a correctional environment.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license, CPR certification, EMR proficiency, and can obtain required pre-employment clearances. Eligible benefits include health/dental/vision insurance and more.

Qualifications

• Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current CPR certificate.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance including background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic RN nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions; obtain health history and provide a written admission assessment.
• Document and communicate triage decisions during custody and after discharge.
• Develop individualized nursing care plans with healthcare providers.
• Implement medical care plans including diagnostic tests and EKGs as ordered.
• Administer medications using proper techniques and routes; manage nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Assist physician in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients; obtain health history and provide a written assessment of patients upon admission.
• During custody and upon discharge, document and communicate triage decisions to the appropriate health care provider.
• Develop individual nursing care plans using nursing assessment protocols in consultation with health care providers.
