Job summary

Arizona General Hospital in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Charge RN to oversee a department of frontline nurses. You will advocate for fellow nurses and support them in reaching their full potential in alignment with departmental goals.

You are accountable, confident, and an excellent communicator in 1:1 and group settings, comfortable holding tough conversations as you manage your team and unit performance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• BSN and Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentors others in competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, NPSG, and inservice education.
• Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet patient and department needs.
• Evaluates care given by staff.
• Coaches staff to improve care.
• Ensures standard of care is maintained.
• Understands and coordinates ethics process for Ethics Consults.
