Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – St. Louis seeks a night shift Labor and Delivery RN.

You will lead nursing staff, coordinate patient assignments, and collaborate with advanced practice providers to ensure high-quality outcomes. This role supports safe, compassionate obstetric care in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have a nursing degree, active MO (or compact) RN license, and at least 1 year of RN experience, with BLS HCP and ALS/NRP as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• Current state RN license in MO or compact state.
• BLS HCP certification is required (AHA).
• Advanced life support certifications may be required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, directs, and monitors nursing staff during shifts and may participate in performance evaluations.
• Assess daily patient care needs and assign care that matches patient populations.
• Collaborates with providers to ensure quality outcomes.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and address issues impacting outcomes.
• Respond to complaints and participate in staff development and training.
