Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, part of Piedmont Healthcare, seeks a Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver quality nursing care across the patient lifecycle on their shifts. The role includes providing clinical care as needed when census demands and communicating issues to leadership.

The nurse will serve as a clinical resource to staff and contribute to patient safety and outcomes. Required include active Georgia RN license or NLC/multistate license and BLS certification; one year of hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Current Georgia RN license or NLC/multistate license and BLS certification.
• Two or more years of hospital nursing experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced certification in specialty encouraged.
• Demonstrated clinical competency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates delivery of quality nursing care for patients of all ages during shift.
• Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s).
• Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of a nursing program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One (1) year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred. Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum). Demonstrated clinical competency.
