Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our care team on the medical-surgical floor. You will apply the nursing process, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and participate in discharge planning and family teaching for post-hospitalization.

Requires active RN license in NV (or compact licensure), current BLS, and ACLS within 90 days (ACLS required for Charge Nurses). One year of inpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver and supervise patient care.
• Plan and coordinate patient care including discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Perform related duties, including Charge Nurse responsibilities.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
