Job summary

BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Night Shift, full-time Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Charge Registered Nurse to join our team. This role leads the NICU team during a shift, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license as RN in Texas
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift.
• Provide leadership to the nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team to assure care is delivered through the nursing process.

Responsibilities:

The Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift. She/he provides leadership to the staff by working cooperatively with the nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team to assure that care is given through utilization of the nursing process.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.

• Current license as RN in state of Texas

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 2-3 years experience in hospital setting as staff nurse.
