Texas Health Dallas NICU is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced Level III unit caring for neonates from 22 weeks gestation onward. This PRN night position requires 1 shift per 6 weeks, with opportunities to advance within a Magnet-designated 875-bed hospital renowned for pediatric and neonatal care in Dallas.
Qualified candidates hold a Diploma in Nursing or an Associate degree, with BSN preferred, and RN licensure in Texas.

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231
Work hours: PRN, 7:00pm - 7:00am; 1 shift per 6 week schedule required
Fast-paced Level III NICU
Provides care for 22 weeks onward
Cooling, High Frequency Ventilator
Supportive leadership supporting opportunities for certification in High-Risk Neonatal Nursing
Diploma in Nursing required or
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
BSN preferred
One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
Two years of NICU experience strongly preferred
Desire to be trained in transport
RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
