Job summary

DriveTime is seeking a Charge Off Manager to lead the Loss Mitigation team at our Dallas/Fort Worth Operations Center. You will set daily goals, oversee performance, and drive process improvements while coaching staff for ongoing development.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication, listening skills, and the ability to collaborate in a high-energy environment within a leading automotive finance company.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years management experience in a call center or retail environment with strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision quality skills.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated individual.
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of big picture impact.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees, customers, clients, and other involved parties.
  • Must be comfortable working on site and available weekdays from 6am–6pm at the Dallas/Fort Worth Operations Center.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily goals and strategy to the team to maximize long-term success.
  • Monitor and review team performance to ensure effectiveness, in line with policy; develop staff through formal reviews and side-by-side coaching.
  • Administer continuous training and coaching to ensure quality customer service.
  • Identify methods to improve management and operations of loan/collection administration.
  • Provide proactive leadership to achieve maximum performance and development across the department.
  • Create and maintain a culture of positive change management for the Reinstatement team.

What’s Under the Hood

DriveTime Family of Brands includes in-house financing and servicing through Bridgecrest, which is one of the country’s leading financial servicing providers. Bridgecrest services roughly $25+ billion in finance receivables for DriveTime and other third parties. We service auto loans across a wide credit spectrum with the intent of creating a strong path to vehicle ownership for our customers.

That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short,the Charge Off Manager is responsible for developing and leading a team to achieve department objectives within the Loss Mitigation group. This includes assessing day to day performance, quality of work, providing feedback, and goal setting.

In long, the Charge Off Manager:

  • Provides daily goals and strategy to their team that will maximize long-term success.
  • Monitors and reviews work of team members to ensure it is effective, and within Company and Legal policy. This includes using tools such as formal account reviews and side-by-side monitoring in order to create development plans for their staff to address any deficiencies
  • Administers continuoustraining and coaching to ensure quality customer service.
  • Identifies and recommends methods to improve management and operations of loan/collection administration involving enhanced work processes, increased responsiveness, efficient use of resources and quality service delivery
  • Provides proactive leadership to the team to achieve maximum performance and continued individual development and succession planning across the department.
  • Create and maintain a culture of positive change management for the Reinstatement team towards the goal of being best in class as a department.
  • Provides consistent updates on outstanding items and analyzes performance trends.

The Specifics.
