Job summary

Emanuel Medical Center in California is seeking a results-driven Registered Nurse Shift Manager to lead the Telemetry unit during the day shift. Per diem scheduling supports flexible coverage while maintaining high-quality patient care.

The candidate will coordinate nursing staff, ensure age-appropriate care, and collaborate with leadership to meet patient needs and staffing goals. CA RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Two to five years acute care experience or equivalent.
• RN skills as described for designated unit.
• Managerial communications preferred.
• Current California RN license.
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services of staff to patients during the designated shift.
• Ensure patient care is appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served.
• Collaborate with staffing coordinator, Nurse Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor.
• Support the Nursing Department Director on administrative duties.

The role assures patient care is appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served, assesses staff needs for the unit, collaborates with the staffing coordinator, Nurse Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor to ensure patients’ needs are met, and supports the Nursing Department Director on various administrative duties.
