Priority Management Group, LLC is seeking a Professional and Compassionate Charge Nurse LVN/RN for Brush Country Nursing and Rehabilitation in Austin, TX. This part-time role requires delivering routine nursing care per resident plans and physician orders while collaborating with the care team.

You will administer medications, document care, support trauma-informed practice, and help with staffing and regulatory tasks in a facility that values dignity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate of LPN/LVN or RN program.
• Up to one year as a Floor or Charge Nurse in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.
• Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Ability to make independent decisions and work well with others.
• Demonstrate patience, tact, and effective communication with residents and families.
• Adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide licensed nursing care according to resident care plans, physician orders, facility policies and applicable regulations
• Monitor resident condition, respond to changes, communicate updates to physicians and care team members, and evaluate resident response to care
• Administer, monitor and reconcile medications safely, including controlled substances, pharmacy deliveries and discharge medications
• Complete accurate charting, documentation, audits and required notifications related to admissions, transfers, discharges, incidents and resident care
• Support resident-centered care, including dignity, choice, trauma-informed practices, family education, dementia care approaches and safe transfers or discharges
• Assist with staffing, census accuracy, RAI-related processes, insurance authorizations, billing support, surveys and department policy compliance
• Promote a clean, safe and orderly environment by following infection prevention, sanitation, safety equipment and equipment maintenance procedures
• Participate in care coordination, committee meetings, QAPI efforts, staff education, coaching and continuing training

Qualifications: Education

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served

Physical | Sensory Requirements

• Able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds to a minimum height of five feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty feet
• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
