Avir at La Hacienda in Eagle Pass, Texas is seeking a Charge Nurse (LVN or RN) to lead care teams, administer medications, and execute care plans. You will transcribe orders, document care, and participate in shift reports to ensure seamless patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an RN or LVN license, demonstrates strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills, and responds effectively to emergencies while maintaining safety standards and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• RN or LVN in good standing.
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and the ability to organize workflows effectively.
• Responds efficiently to emergencies and pays attention to detail in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.
• Administer Medications: Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed.
• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.
• Perform Treatments: Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort.
• Transcribe Orders: Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders.
• Document Resident Care: Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments.
• Collaborate During Shift Reports: Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.
• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.
• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.
• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
