Job summary

Pivotal Health Care's Northridge Village in Ames, IA is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse- RN/LPN to oversee comprehensive nursing care for residents and coordinate with families, physicians, and the care team.

The RN/LPN will perform daily rounds, ensure safety and infection control, and respond to changes in resident condition. A current license and CPR certification are required, with 1–2 years LTC experience preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school, be currently licensed in the state applying without encumbrance, and maintain licensure and CEU requirements.
• Preferably 1-2 years of nursing experience in Long Term Care and/or a Skilled Nursing Facility, but not required.
• Must possess a current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• The RN/LPN ensures provision of quality nursing care in accordance with Federal, State, and Company requirements based on acuity of residents.
• Makes daily rounds to each resident to ascertain the resident's condition and comfort.
• Follows safety policies in performing nursing care, assuring resident safety.
• Follows infection control guidelines.
• Initiates procedures to protect residents from injury and infection.
• Assesses and evaluates resident change of condition and institutes appropriate interventions.
• Communicates with the Physician as indicated by resident needs or status and assures follow through.

Role:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the comprehensive nursing care of residents in the Community, as well as effectively communicating with team members, families, physicians, and allied health professionals.
