Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Charge Nurse to oversee day-to-day functions on the Unit/Floor, ensuring compliance with standards and facility policies. The role requires a valid NJ RN/LPN license, extensive nursing and supervisory experience, and proficiency with PCC/MDS in a long-term care setting.

The Charge Nurse will coordinate care with other services, monitor schedules, and provide information to leadership to meet residents’ needs. Strong English skills and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid NJ state RN or LPN license.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of nursing experience required.
• Two (2) years or more years years of supervisor/charge nurse experience.
• Working knowledge with PCC and MDS.
• Knowledge of current LTC state guidelines.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.
• Provide the Director with information relative to the nursing needs of the resident and ability to meet those needs.
• Schedule daily rounds to observe residents and determine if nursing needs are met.
• Perform direct nursing care as needed.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure medications are administered as ordered and treatments provided as scheduled.
