Job summary

Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital - Gilbert is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) to lead nursing staff in delivering high-quality, safe patient care in an acute rehabilitation environment.

Applicants should have a current RN license and BSN/ASN or Nursing Diploma. Six months of Medical/Surgical experience is preferred; CPR/BCLS is required, ACLS/CRRN preferred. Join a team focused on excellent patient outcomes and collaborative care.

How you'll contribute

A Charge (RN) who excels in this role:

• Responsible for leading and supporting nursing staff in the delivery of high‑quality, safe, and compliant patient care.
• Clinical mentorship, documentation oversight, and coordination of staff assignments based on patient needs.
• Completes routine audits to assure accurate and timely documentation in Cerner and UDS in order to meet compliance standards
• Assists the Nurse Manager in annual evaluations by providing feedback on clinical performance.
• Identifies educational opportunities for the nursing staff based on clinical needs identified and verbalized by nursing staff.
• Educates and monitors all staff regarding accurate and complete QI documentation to capture accurate burden of care.
• Assists in QI education for licensed nursing staff.
• Acts as key player in daily stand up clinical meeting to communicate/identify patient status.
• Acts as a clinical resource and mentor for nurses in caring for medically complex patients in the facility.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:

• Education:Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
• Experience:Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• License:Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Certifications:CPR/BCLS certification required; ACLS & CRRN preferred.
