Palomar Health Rehabilitation Institute in Escondido, CA is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) for inpatient rehabilitation. This full-time role features a 3x12 day shift (7am–7:30pm) and a leadership-focused nursing position that guides staff and coordinates patient care.

You will ensure accurate documentation in Cerner and UDS, mentor staff, and participate in CQPI efforts to maximize patient safety. The position offers a $44–$60 hourly range, full benefits, tuition assistance, and growth

Competenze

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Minimum 2 years in rehabilitative or acute care with leadership experience.
• BSN preferred; strong clinical documentation skills.

Mansioni

• Complete routine audits to ensure accurate documentation in Cerner and UDS for compliance.
• Identify and address educational needs among nursing staff based on clinical practice and feedback.
• Educate and monitor staff on proper QI documentation to reflect accurate burden of care.
• Serve as a clinical mentor and resource for nursing staff caring for medically complex patients.
• Support patient and family education and coordinate resources to reduce readmissions.
• Provide UDS documentation/orientation training for newly hired licensed nurses.
• Conduct remediation sessions for nurses with documentation deficiencies.
• Participate actively in CQPI efforts and patient safety initiatives.
