Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation’s UMMC Midtown Campus in Baltimore seeks a CNII nurse to provide comprehensive care on a 9-bed unit. You will act as charge nurse, mentor new staff, and ensure adherence to patient safety goals and quality standards.

The role requires Maryland RN licensure (BSN preferred), 1 year of nursing experience, current CPR, ACLS and PALS within 1 year, and strong collaboration with diverse care teams to support timely patient throughput.

Qualifications

• Maryland RN licensure required; BSN preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within 1 year in specified departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from admission through discharge.
• Act as charge nurse and mentor new staff.
• Develop and implement Plan of Care with measurable goals.
• Coordinate resources and personnel for patient care.
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions as ordered.
• Document assessments and patient education thoroughly.
• Monitor patient safety and quality measures; participate in committees.
