Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is seeking a Full Time Charge Nurse, RN for Days with ICU/Step-down experience. Supervises patient care activities performed by RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs, and collaborates with physicians and staff about changes in patient care.

Provides direct patient care as required and fosters a positive hospital milieu. Shift differentials apply for weekend shifts. This role offers comprehensive benefits and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse licensed in NM with accredited nursing education.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal nursing laws.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong interpersonal and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises care by RNs, LPNs and CNAs and communicates with physicians and staff about patient status.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response.
• Fosters a positive milieu and informs leadership of risks to the facility.
• Provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and acuity.
