Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital-Albuquerque is seeking a Full Time Charge Nurse, RN for Days with ICU/Step-down experience. The role supervises patient care activities performed by RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs, and requires collaboration with physicians on patient condition changes and diagnostic results.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure for the State of New Mexico.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal nursing laws.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English; articulate communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care activities by RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs.
• Communicate with physicians and staff about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
• Foster a positive milieu within the hospital.
• Keep CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place the facility at risk.
• Provide direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.
