Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN licensure in Alabama or Compact State Licensure (NLC) required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days required.
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered nursing per policies and Nurse Practice Act.
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned and supervise/coordinate care.
• Demonstrate CPR per American Heart Association standards.
• Administer medications, including controlled substances, and blood products.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in the Hospital Information System.
