Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Marceline, MO is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community.

You’ll oversee nursing services during shifts, supervise teams, and ensure residents’ needs are met with professionalism and compliance with state, federal, and Americare standards. You’ll serve as a key clinical resource, supporting care delivery and fostering a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shifts.
• Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs.
• Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and nursing leadership.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met.
• Address, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect.
• Ensure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicated to leadership.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety.

Pay: $33 hourly, .25 cents per year of service, up to 5 years. Shift Differentials: Nights $4

What You Bring

Licensure / Certification

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Experience & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills
• Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living preferred

Physical Demands
