Americare Senior Living's Sabetha Manor is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and resident-centered care in our skilled nursing community. You’ll oversee nursing services during shifts, supervise teams, and ensure compliance with state, federal, and Americare standards with compassion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical judgment and leadership abilities are required.
• Experience with state and federal nursing regulations is preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services and clinical supervision during assigned shifts.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs and guide staff performance.
• Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and documentation.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and leadership.
• Administer medications per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are met.

Your Role as the Charge Nurse (RN)

Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community. In this role, you’ll oversee nursing services during assigned shifts, supervise caregiving teams, and ensure residents’ needs are met with professionalism, compassion, and compliance with state, federal, and Americare standards. You’ll serve as a key clinical resource, supporting care delivery and fostering a safe, respectful environment.

Summary

The Charge Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing clinical oversight and supervision of nursing care during assigned shifts to ensure quality outcomes and regulatory compliance. This role guides nursing staff, administers medications and treatments, completes resident assessments, and serves as a central communicator between residents, families, providers, and leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shifts
• Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures
• Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs
• Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and nursing leadership
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met
• Address, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect
• Ensure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicated to leadership
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety
• Uphold Americare’s mission, vision, values, and company policies

Licensure / Certification

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Experience & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills
• Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living preferred

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed
