What you will do in this role:

• Ensure the provision of safe and effective patient care after hours, on weekends, holidays, or when the CNO/NM/Interim is not on site.
• Assess all departments to ensure continuity of care and report pertinent information to management and administration.
• Communicate unusual occurrences or complaints for follow-up and intervene immediately when needed.
• Maintain an environment that promotes patient safety and minimizes medical/healthcare errors.
• Ensure proper documentation, including medical necessity, in medical records; monitor completion and revisions of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
• Review and evaluate risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes to improve performance and outcomes; communicate findings to the nursing department.
• Provide education and training to nursing staff on Quality Indicators (QIs); ensure timely and accurate QI assessments and scoring.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program with current licensure in the state. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a rehabilitative or acute care setting and/or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate, and direct activities of clinical personnel; effective communication skills in English (additional languages preferred); proficiency in basic computer skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
