Job summary

The Maples in Hammond, LA is seeking a committed nurse to join our residential treatment center. The role focuses on providing compassionate nursing care to teenage girls dealing with mental health challenges, trauma, disordered eating, and substance use, under physician orders.

Shifts run from 7 am to 7 pm. We welcome Registered Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses licensed in Louisiana, with strong clinical skills and a collaborative approach to care.

Qualifications

• Must have Registered Nurse licensure in Louisiana.
• LPN certification from an Accredited program.
• BLS certification required.
• Non-violent crisis intervention certification required.

Responsibilities

• Functioning as the Charge RN for their assigned shift, supervising the clinical program during the shift.
• Participates in planning, coordinating and documenting total patient care with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Accurately reports and records patient condition and care, including signs of change.
• Prepares clinical/progress notes daily and documents recertifications and Master Treatment Plan updates.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and teaches self-care techniques.
• Educates and supervises other healthcare personnel in providing continuity of care.
• Initiates and sustains implementation of physician orders.
• Completes and maintains accurate clinical notes.
• Participates in case conferences, in-services, and other programs.
