Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking an RN - Charge Nurse to join our Med/Surg Overflow unit at St. Joseph's South in Riverview. The role requires leadership, clinical excellence, and mentorship for the nursing team.

The Charge Nurse will act as a preceptor, manage shifts, and support professional development while delivering patient-centered care across a busy unit.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license valid in the state of practice, BLS certification.
• BSN degree or higher required; leadership experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years RN acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional role modeling and managerial oversight in Med/Surg Overflow.
• Act as preceptor and charge nurse for nursing teams.
• Develop self and team, share organizational information and best practices.

Position Description: RN - Charge Nurse

• The RN - Charge Nurse is proficient in the care of a patient population utilizing effective managerial skills. Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team
