Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Charge Nurse to supervise and assist with nursing care across a unit during a shift, often taking on duties of staff nurses as needed. You will be accountable to the Nursing Coordinator and help solve daily staff issues while coordinating care and patient flow.

The role requires RN licensure in Oregon, at least three years of RN experience with one year in a clinical specialty, and involvement in education and protocol development.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of Registered Nurse experience, one year in clinical specialty.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse License (Oregon) and Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing personnel and participate in applicant interviewing and staffing decisions.
• Monitor staffing patterns and assist with budget-related inputs and resources.
• Coordinate patient care on the unit and support effective intershift communication.
• Educate staff and participate in in-service programs for continuous education.
