HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking a Charge Nurse for the medical-surgical unit. You will lead nursing staff during the shift, coordinate patient care, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes in collaboration with the management team.

The role emphasizes throughput optimization, staff scheduling, and adherence to policy while maintaining an empathetic, team-based environment focused on exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN (Registered Nurse) license required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and high quality care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services.
• Collaborates with managers to create an environment of teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Implements nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
• Assists with interviewing, selecting, and training staff and with performance evaluations.
• Assists with staff scheduling and productivity alignment.
• Helps manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
